								In Memoriam John A. Zipay 1944-2007 AOSFB Member -  1959-1961 Staff -  1980-2003
				It is with much sadness, that we announce the passing of John A. Zipay on March 15, 2007 Mr. Zipay was an Assistant Director of the All-Ohio State Fair Band from 1980 -2003.  He served as the leader for all woodwinds except clarinets.  He was the voice of the band as the announcer for AOSFB concerts during his final years on the staff.  The Alumni Association passes along condolences to his wife Nancy, children Matt, Jessica and Stephanie and his first grandchild "Baby Z" who will be welcomed into this world in June.
